Prior to joining Georgian College, department of Electrical Engineering, Majid was a lead member and a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Electromagnetic Imaging Laboratory (EIL), Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Manitoba. His PhD and Post-doc studies contributed to the areas of biomedical imaging, breast cancer detection, design and development of microwave imaging (MWI) systems, near-field measurement, and the modulated scattering technique.
He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (with highest distinction) in electrical engineering from the Sharif University of Technology and Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, Canada, in 2011.
His areas of research at Georgian College is focused on low frequency, high frequency systems, and advanced simulations, including analysis of various electrical machines e.g. induction and PM motors, wireless chargers, antennas, and communication systems.
